Fourier Education announces

einstein™explore! app on Windows 10

einstein™explore! is now available for Windows 10 devices

Combining STEM Initiatives

Fourier Education’s mission is to provide STEM solutions for K-12 schools via hardware and software that empowers educators and inspires students.  This is done with einstein™, an engaging science learning experience unifying inquiry-based experiments, interactive multimedia activities and user-friendly analysis applications on any tablet or computer.

For over 20 years, Fourier Education has been a global leader in the field of science education technology. Students from over 60 countries across the globe have benefited first-hand from Fourier’s products.

Ken Zwiebel, CEO of Fourier, said, "At Fourier Education, we don’t merely want to expose kids to science; we are determined to add the extra spark to the classroom that drives students to become the next brilliant STEM leaders. The collaboration with Microsoft allows us to provide Windows 10 users with a great and unique way to experience science. Breaking the mold of traditional methods of learning, this collaboration will take the power of the Windows 10 platform and turn it into a completely immersive and interactive science learning environment that will engage kids of all ages. We are grateful to Microsoft for shared vision with us of how we can better science education and the confidence in us to turn that vision into a reality.  “

einstein™ Learning Platform on Windows 10

The investment will specifically be used to develop apps for the einstein™LabMate, a device that pairs with any PC or tablet, turning it into a mobile science lab.   The LabMate features 6 built-in sensors (pressure, UV, heart rate, temperature, humidity and light )and can connect to up to 8 external sensors simultaneously, all designed with science curricula in mind.  Using this device with Fourier’s interactive exploration and analysis apps allows for an engaging science experience in a science lab or outdoors, encouraging kids to explore the world around them.

Research shows that the earlier you expose children to STEM, the more likely they are to succeed in STEM and pursue STEM careers.  einstein™explore! app teaches young children basic principles of science through fun, interactive quests.  The app builds off the inquisitive nature of children; providing tools to explore the world around them and encourage their first steps into scientific inquiry.

einstein™explore! has been well-received by educators and students at recent shows such as BETT 2015 and the National Science Teachers’ Association conference in Chicago.

Providing einstein™ apps on Windows 10 devices will  bring STEM solutions to the classroom and beyond.

einstein™explore! can be downloaded from the Windows store.

einsten™World: A revolutionary STEM-focused learning platform by Fourier Education

Imagine if we could nurture every child’s inquisitive nature into a passionate curiosity. We could inspire a generation of young minds to pursue the answers that will change the world.  Children start out eager to learn about the world around them yet schools are failing to keep students interested in science and math. Research shows the earlier you expose children to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), the more likely they are to succeed in STEM and pursue STEM careers.

Fourier Education isn’t merely exposing kids to science; they are determined to add the extra spark to the classroom that drives students to become the next brilliant STEM leaders. Their team has developed a science learning platform entertaining enough to answer the needs of younger children while powerful enough to challenge high school students.

The einstein™World platform empowers teachers and inspires students by providing an engaging science learning experience that unifies sensor-based experiments, interactive multimedia activities and user-friendly analysis applications on any tablet or computer.

Investigation Tools: Data-loggers and Sensors

The platform begins with their award-winning einstein™Tablet+.[1] The Tablet+ is an Android-based device equipped with 8 built-in sensors commonly used in standard science curricula for students and teachers to conduct their experiments. They include humidity, UV, heart rate, temperature, light, accelerometer, microphone, and GPS. Teachers and students can also add an additional eight external sensors to run more complex and creative experiments. Fourier Education offers 65 external sensors in total.  The Tablet+ functions as a mobile science lab and as full-functioning tablet to meet all the needs of the student.

For those schools that have already purchased tablets or computers for their students, Fourier also has the einsteinLabMate+, a self-standing plug-in device for PCs, Macs, iPads and even Linux-based computers. It has six sensors built-in (heart rate, temperature, humidity, pressure, UV and visible light) as well as four ports for other Fourier sensors. The best part is that it can connect via a USB cable or Bluetooth

Exploration and Analysis Apps

Fourier has developed apps that can be adapted to suit the needs of virtually any science classroom. They can be used to teach basic science concepts and advanced level curriculum. With the einstein™World app teachers can run custom lessons that take students through self-guided lessons including sensor-based experiments. MiLAB is an intuitive and user-friendly interface makes it easy to collect, interpret and analyze collected data designed for middle school students and beyond. TrackIt!  allows you to analyze moving objects in videos recorded by the user. This is  perfect for teaching the laws of motion. All of these can be downloaded on Google Play.

Create & Discover

With the einstein™ Activity Maker publishers, educators, and even students can create multimedia, interactive, sensor-based science Activities as easily as creating a slide presentation.  Activities and interactive presentations can be easily shared through the einstein™ Activity Store, leveraging the power and knowledge of the einstein™ community around the world.

Fourier Education Wins 2014 Bett Awards

Fourier Education is proud to announce that their einstein™ Tablet+ has won the Digital Devices category at the 2014 Bett Awards. Serving as a mobile science learning workstation, the einsteinTM Tablet+ is a revolutionary new science exploration tablet for students in grades K-12.

The Bett Awards recognize the world’s most innovative and inspiring educational technologies and serve as an integral part of the Bett Show, the world’s largest event for learning technology that is held annually in London. Fourier Education continues to demonstrate its award winning einstein™ Tablet+ at booth B166 throughout this year’s show, which runs through January 25.

“We are delighted to be recognized by the best minds in the educational technology industry and thrilled to win this prestigious award that strongly affirms our mission,” said Ken Zwiebel, chief executive officer of Fourier Education. “We built this revolutionary digital science tablet understanding that the earlier we can excite our kids to the wonders of STEM, the more they will cultivate a passion for these fields, and the better they will perform in these areas throughout their schooling and careers.”

Fourier Education’s einstein™ Tablet+ not only acts as a familiar platform for teachers and students but it also includes everything teachers need to get their students actively engaged with real-world, hands-on science learning. The einstein™ Tablet+ is pre-loaded with multimedia experiments for biology, chemistry, environmental science, human physiology, and physics. Teachers and students can also easily create their own experiments on the tablet with the einstein™ Activity Maker.

Bett judges commented on Fourier Education’s win saying, “einsteinTM Science Learning Platform is a very good product which is ideally suited to supporting the new national curriculum. We like the design, branding and functionality and think the product is durable and robust. We particularly like the way it encourages students to interact and work collaboratively.”

The einstein™ Tablet+ includes eight built-in sensors that are commonly used in standard science curricula for students and teachers to conduct experiments. They include Humidity, UV, Heart Rate, Temperature, Light, Accelerometer, Microphone, and GPS. Teachers and students can also add an additional eight external sensors to run more complex and creative experiments.

In addition, the einstein™ Tablet+ also comes with MiLAB™ data analysis app, which allows students to easily collect, interpret, and understand data from their experiments. The tablet also features two built-in cameras, an HDMI port to connect to a projector or monitor, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to Google Drive and Google Play in addition to the full functionality of a standard Android device, supporting all applications compatible with Android OS.
